حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ
نَادَى رَجُلٌ: يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ، فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، لَمْ أَعْنِكَ، إِنَّمَا دَعَوْتُ فُلَانًا. قَالَ: تَسَمَّوْا بِاسْمِي، وَلَا تَكَنَّوْا بِكُنْيَتِي
Translation

✧ A man called out: "O Abu al-Qasim!" The Prophet ﷺ turned to him, so the man said: "O Messenger of Allah, I did not mean you; I called so-and-so." He said: "Name yourselves with my name, but do not use my kunyah."
