حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ قَالَ
سُئِلَ أَنَسٌ: هَلِ اتَّخَذَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ خَاتَمًا ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، أَخَّرَ لَيْلَةً صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ إِلَى قَرِيبٍ مِنْ شَطْرِ اللَّيْلِ، فَلَمَّا صَلَّى أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ: النَّاسُ قَدْ صَلَّوْا وَنَامُوا، وَلَمْ تَزَالُوا فِي صَلَاةٍ مَا انْتَظَرْتُمُوهَا. قَالَ أَنَسٌ: كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ الْآنَ إِلَى وَبِيصِ خَاتَمِهِ
Translation

✧ Anas was asked: Did the Prophet ﷺ take a ring? He said: Yes. He delayed the later 'Isha' prayer one night until near the middle of the night. When he prayed, he turned to us with his face and said: "The people have prayed and slept, and you remained in prayer as long as you waited for it." Anas said: It is as if I can still see the glint of his ring.
