حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ:

قَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى دَرَجَةِ الْكَعْبَةِ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ، فَقَالَ: الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِي صَدَقَ وَعْدَهُ، وَنَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ، وَهَزَمَ الْأَحْزَابَ وَحْدَهُ، أَلَا إِنَّ قَتِيلَ الْعَمْدِ الْخَطَأِ بِالسَّوْطِ وَالْعَصَا، فِي الْعَمْدِ مِائَةٌ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ، مِنْهَا أَرْبَعُونَ خَلِفَةً فِي بُطُونِهَا أَوْلَادُهَا، أَلَا إِنَّ كُلَّ دَمٍ وَمَأْثُرَةٍ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، فَهُوَ تَحْتَ قَدَمَيَّ هَاتَيْنِ، إِلَّا مَا كَانَ مِنْ سِدَانَةِ الْبَيْتِ وَسِقَايَةِ الْحَاجِّ، فَإِنِّي أُمْضِيهِمَا لِأَهْلِهِمَا كَمَا كَانَا

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ stood on the steps of the Ka'bah on the Day of the Conquest and said: Praise be to God who fulfilled His promise, aided His servant, and alone defeated the confederates. Indeed, the intentional killing by mistake—with the whip and the stick—in intentional cases requires one hundred camels, of which forty are pregnant she-camels with young in their bellies. Indeed, every blood claim and inherited privilege from the Age of Ignorance is under these two feet of mine, except for the custodianship of the House and the watering of the pilgrims, for I shall confirm them for their people as they were.
