حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الْقُرَشِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي حَنْظَلَةُ بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ:
كُنْتُ عِنْدَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ إِذْ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ يُوَدِّعُهُ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: انْتَظِرْ أُوَدِّعْكَ كَمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُوَدِّعُنَا: أَسْتَوْدِعُ اللهَ دِينَكَ، وَأَمَانَتَكَ وَخَوَاتِيمَ عَمَلِكَ

✧ I was with Abdullah b. Umar when a man came to bid him farewell. Ibn Umar said: Wait, let me bid you farewell as the Messenger of God ﷺ used to bid us farewell: I entrust to God your religion, your trust, and the final outcomes of your deeds.
