✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ passed by with Abu Bakr and Umar while Abd Allah was praying, and he began reciting Surah al-Nisa, reciting it fluently. The Messenger of God ﷺ said, 'Whoever loves to recite the Qur'an fresh as it was revealed, let him recite the recitation of Ibn Umm Abd.' Then he sat and made supplication. The Messenger of God ﷺ kept saying, 'Ask and you will be given.' Among his supplications he said, 'O God, I ask You for faith that does not turn back, blessing that does not run out, and the companionship of our Prophet ﷺ in the highest Garden of Eternity.' Umar came to give him glad tidings of that, but found Abu Bakr already outside, having preceded him. He said, 'If you have done so, you are indeed foremost in good.'
