أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ بُشْرَى مِنَ اللهِ وَالْحُلُمُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ فَإِذَا حَلَمَ أَحَدُكُمْ حُلُمًا يَكْرَهُهُ فَلْيَتْفُلْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ ثَلَاثًا وَلْيَتَعَوَّذْ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَضُرُّهُ» قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ إِنْ كَانَتِ الرُّؤْيَا لَتُضْجِعُنِي حَتَّى سَمِعْتُ حَدِيثَ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "A righteous dream is good news from Allah, and a bad dream is from Satan. So if one of you dreams something that he dislikes, let him spit to his left three times and seek refuge in Allah from Satan, for it will not harm him." Abu Salamah said: Indeed, dreams used to make me lie down ill until I heard the hadith of Abu Qatadah.
