حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِضَبٍّ فَلَمْ يَأْكُلْهُ وَلَمْ يَنْهَ عَنْهُ، قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَفَلَا نُطْعِمُهُ الْمَسَاكِينَ ؟ قَالَ: لَا تُطْعِمُوهُمْ مِمَّا لَا تَأْكُلُونَ
Translation

✧ A dabb lizard was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he did not eat it, nor did he forbid it. I said: “O Messenger of Allah, shall we not feed it to the poor?” He said: “Do not feed them what you do not eat.”
