✧ When the Prophet ﷺ raided a people, he did not attack until morning, so that he could observe. If he heard the call to prayer, he refrained from them, and if he did not hear the call to prayer, he raided them. He said: We went out to Khaybar and reached it. When morning came and he did not hear the call to prayer, he mounted, and I mounted behind Abu Talha, and my foot was touching the foot of the Prophet ﷺ. He said: They came out to us with their baskets and their tools. When they saw the Prophet ﷺ, they said: Muhammad and the army. When the Prophet ﷺ saw them, he said: God is most great. Khaybar is destroyed. When we descend upon the courtyard of a people, evil is the morning of those who were warned.
