✧ The Prophet ﷺ, when he raided a people, would not raid until morning. Then he would look: if he heard a call to prayer, he refrained from them; and if he did not hear a call to prayer, he attacked them. He said: We went out to Khaybar, and we reached them at night. When morning came and he did not hear a call to prayer, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mounted, and I mounted behind Abu Talhah, and indeed my feet were touching the foot of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. They came out to us with their baskets and shovels. When they saw the Prophet ﷺ, they said, "Muhammad, by Allah, Muhammad and the army!" When the Prophet ﷺ saw them, he said, "Allah is greatest! Allah is greatest! Khaybar is ruined. When we descend upon the courtyard of a people, evil is the morning of those warned."
