حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدٌعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ

كَانَ إِذَا غَزَا قَوْمًا لَمْ يُغِرْ بِنَا لَيْلًا حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ، فَإِنْ سَمِعَ أَذَانًا كَفَّ عَنْهُمْ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ أَذَانًا أَغَارَ عَلَيْهِمْ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  2. Ismāʿīl
  3. Ḥumaydʿan Anas b. Mālik
  4. al-Nabī ﷺ

✧ When he raided a people, he would not attack them at night until morning. If he heard the call to prayer, he would refrain from them; if he did not hear the call to prayer, he would attack them.
