حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ حُمَيْدًا قَالَ:
سُئِلَ أَنَسٌ: هَلِ اتَّخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَاتَمًا ؟ فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ، كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَبِيصِ خَاتَمِهِ، أَخَّرَ لَيْلَةً صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ إِلَى شَطْرِ اللَّيْلِ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى، فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ صَلَّوْا وَنَامُوا، وَإِنَّكُمْ لَنْ تَزَالُوا فِي صَلَاةٍ مَا انْتَظَرْتُمُوهَا، قَالَ: وَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَبِيصِ خَاتَمِهِ، قَالَ: وَكَانَ خَاتَمُهُ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ، كَانَ فَصُّهُ مِنْهُ
Translation

✧ Anas was asked: Did the Messenger of God ﷺ take a ring? He said: Yes. It is as if I am looking at the gleam of his ring. He delayed the last evening prayer one night until half the night had passed, then he prayed. When he finished his prayer, he turned his face to us and said: The people have prayed and gone to sleep, but you will remain in prayer as long as you wait for it. He said: It is as if I am looking at the gleam of his ring. He said: His ring was of silver, and its bezel was of the same.
