حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ

لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَأَمَرْتُهُمْ بِتَأْخِيرِ الْعِشَاءِ، وَالسِّوَاكِ مَعَ الصَّلَاةِ، وَلَا تَصُومُ امْرَأَةٌ وَزَوْجُهَا شَاهِدٌ يَوْمًا غَيْرَ رَمَضَانَ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ

Translation

✧ Were it not that I would burden my community, I would command them to delay the night prayer and to use the tooth-stick with the prayer. And a woman may not fast a day other than Ramadan while her husband is present except with his permission.
