وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ أَتَوُا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا رَأَيْنَا قَوْمًا قَطُّ أَبْذَلَ مِنْ كَثِيرٍ، وَلَا أَحْسَنَ مُوَاسَاةً مِنْ قَلِيلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، لَقَدْ صِرْنَا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَأَشْرَكُونَا فِي الْمَهْنَأِ، إِنَّا نَخْشَى أَنْ يَذْهَبُوا بِالْأَجْرِ، قَالَ: لَا، مَا أَثْنَيْتُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَدَعَوْتُمْ لَهُمْ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Anas

✧ The Muhajirun came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Messenger of God, we have never seen people more generous with much, nor better in consoling with little, than the Ansar. When we came to al-Madinah, they shared with us in the good things. We fear that they will take all the reward. He said: No, not as long as you praise them and supplicate for them.
