حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ ثَابِتَ بْنَ قَيْسٍ خَطَبَ مَقْدَمَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّا نَمْنَعُكَ مِمَّا نَمْنَعُ مِنْهُ أَنْفُسَنَا وَأَوْلَادَنَا، فَمَا لَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ؟ قَالَ: لَكُمُ الْجَنَّةُ، قَالُوا: رَضِينَا

Translation

✧ Thabit b. Qays gave a speech at the arrival of the Messenger of God ﷺ and said: We will protect you from what we protect ourselves and our children from, so what is for us, O Messenger of God? He said: Paradise is for you. They said: We are content.
