✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ forbade three things: the meat of sacrificial animals beyond three days, visiting graves, and this nabidh in these containers. Then he said: Indeed I forbade you three things, but then it became clear to me that people keep their condiments, honor their guests, and save for those absent. So eat and keep as much as you wish. I forbade you visiting graves – I think, Abu Bakr doubted – so visit them and do not say anything improper. It was as if he said: It softens the heart, makes the eye weep, and reminds of the Hereafter. And I forbade you nabidh, so make nabidh in whatever you wish; whoever wishes may tie his waterskin upon sin.
