✧ The roof of my house was opened while I was in Makkah. Gabriel ﷺ descended and opened my chest, then washed it with water from Zamzam. Then he brought a golden basin filled with wisdom and faith, poured it into my chest, and closed it. Then he took my hand and ascended with me to the heaven. When he came to the lowest heaven, Gabriel said to the keeper of the heaven: "Open." He said: "Who is this?" He said: "Gabriel." He said: "Is there anyone with you?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Has he been sent for?" He said: "Yes." So he opened. When we ascended to the lowest heaven, there was a man sitting with dark figures on his right and dark figures on his left. When he looked to his right, he smiled, and when he looked to his left, he wept. He said: "Welcome to the righteous prophet and the righteous son." He [the Prophet] said: I said to Gabriel: "Who is this?" He said: "This is Adam, and these dark figures on his right and left are his descendants. The people of the right are the people of Paradise, and the dark figures on his left are the people of Hell. When he looks to the right, he laughs, and when he looks to his left, he weeps." He said: Then Gabriel ascended with me until he came to the second heaven and said to its keeper: "Open." Its keeper said to him the like of what the keeper of the lowest heaven had said, and he opened. Anas said: He mentioned that he found in the heavens Adam, Idris, Musa, Isa, and Ibrahim, but he did not make clear how their stations were, except that he mentioned that he found Adam in the lowest heaven and Ibrahim in the third heaven. Anas said: When Gabriel and the Messenger of God ﷺ passed by Idris, he said: "Welcome to the righteous prophet and the righteous brother." He said: Then I said: "Who is this?" He said: "This is Idris." Then I passed by Musa, and he said: "Welcome to the righteous prophet and the righteous brother." He said: I said: "Who is this?" He said: "This is Musa." He said: Then I passed by Isa, and he said: "Welcome to the righteous prophet and the righteous brother." He said: I said: "Who is this?" I think he said: "Isa." He said: Then I passed by Ibrahim, and he said: "Welcome to the righteous prophet and the righteous son." He said: I said: "Who is this?" He said: "This is Ibrahim."
