حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: سَمِعَ الزُّهْرِيُّ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ:
قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَدِينَةَ وَأَنَا ابْنُ عَشْرِ سِنِينَ، وَمَاتَ وَأَنَا ابْنُ عِشْرِينَ سَنَةً، وَكُنَّ أُمَّهَاتِي يَحْثُثْنَنِي عَلَى خِدْمَتِهِ، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا دَارَنَا فَحَلَبْنَا لَهُ مِنْ شَاةٍ دَاجِنٍ، وَشُبْنَا لَهُ لَبَنَهَا بِمَاءٍ مِنْ بِئْرِ الدَّارِ، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، وَعُمَرُ نَاحِيَةً، فَشَرِبَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَعْطِ أَبَا بَكْرٍ، فَنَاوَلَهُ الْأَعْرَابِيَّ وَقَالَ: الْأَيْمَنُ فَالْأَيْمَنُ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ came to Madinah when I was ten years old, and he died when I was twenty, and my mothers used to urge me to serve him. He entered our house, and we milked a domestic sheep for him, and we mixed its milk with water from the well of the house, with Abu Bakr on his right and Umar to one side. The Prophet ﷺ drank, and Umar said: O Messenger of God, give it to Abu Bakr. He handed it to the Bedouin and said: The right, then the right.
