حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا يَقُولُ:

كُنَّا نَبِيعُ سَرَارِيَّنَا أُمَّهَاتِ الْأَوْلَادِ، وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ حَيٌّ فِينَا لَا يَرَى بِذَلِكَ بَأْسًا

Translation

✧ We used to sell our slave women who were mothers of children while the Prophet ﷺ was alive among us, and he did not see any harm in that.
