✧ A woman was with ʿAʾishah — Abu Yala said: pouring water on a boy whose nostrils were dripping blood. The Messenger of God ﷺ entered and said: “What is the matter with this boy?” They said: “He has al-ʿudhra.” He said: “Woe to you, O assembly of women! Do not kill your children. Any woman whose child has al-ʿudhra or a pain in his head should take Indian costus root, grind it, then apply it as a nasal drop.” Then he ordered ʿAʾishah, and she did that to the boy, and he recovered.
