✧ Ubayy was leading the people of Quba in prayer. He began a long surah, and a boy from the Ansar joined him in prayer. When he heard him begin a long surah, the boy left his prayer, intending to attend to a camel of his that he used for watering. When Ubayy b. Ka'b finished, the people said to him: 'So-and-so left the prayer.' Ubayy became angry and went to the Prophet ﷺ to complain about the boy. The boy also came to complain about him. The Prophet ﷺ became angry until anger was seen on his face, then said: 'Among you are those who drive people away. When you pray, be brief, for behind you are the weak, the elderly, the sick, and those with needs.'
