✧ Ubayy led the people in prayer in Quba. A boy from the Ansar entered his prayer while he had a water channel. When he heard Ubayy reciting a long surah, he left his prayer. When Ubayy finished, he was informed of that. Ubayy knew that the boy would complain to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the boy came to complain about Ubayy. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Among you are those who drive people away. When you pray, be brief'—or he said: 'make it light'—Abu Yahya doubted, or as he said—'for behind you are the elderly, the sick, and those with needs.'
