✧ That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to deliver the sermon sitting on the pulpit. He denied it, saying, "I witnessed him: he used to deliver the sermon standing, then sit, then stand and deliver another sermon." He said: I said, "How was his sermon?" He said, "Words with which he exhorted the people and recited verses from the Book of Allah, then descended. It was moderate, meaning his sermon, and his prayer was moderate, about the length of al-Shams, Duha, al-Samaʾ, and al-Tariq, except the morning prayer and the noon prayer. Bilal would give the call to prayer when the sun declined; if the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came, he would give the iqamah, otherwise he would remain silent until he came out. The afternoon prayer was about the time you pray it, the sunset prayer was about the time you pray it, and the late evening prayer he would delay a little from your prayer."

Notes
