حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا بَشِيرُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، قَالَ:

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَذْكُرُ أَهْلَ مَقْبَرَةٍ يَوْمًا، قَالَ: فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا فَأَكْثَرَ الصَّلَاةَ عَلَيْهَا، قَالَ: فَسُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْهَا، فَقَالَ: أَهْلُ مَقْبَرَةِ شُهَدَاءِ عَسْقَلَانَ، يُزَفُّونَ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ كَمَا تُزَفُّ الْعَرُوسُ إِلَى زَوْجِهَا

✧ I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ while he was mentioning the people of a cemetery one day. He said: He prayed over it and prayed much over it. He said: The Messenger of God ﷺ was asked about it, and he said: The people of the cemetery of the martyrs of Ascalon, they are escorted to Paradise as a bride is escorted to her husband.
