✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ stood at a river of rainwater while the people were fasting on a hot day, and they were on foot while the Messenger of God ﷺ was on his mule. He said: “Drink, O people.” They said: “Should we drink, O Messenger of God?” He said: “I am not like you; I am more comfortable than you; I am riding.” He said: They refused. He said: The Prophet of God ﷺ bent his thigh and dismounted, then drank, and the people drank, though he had not intended to drink it.”
