Minhāl narrated it from al-Zuhrī, from ʿAlī b. al-Ḥusayn, from Ṣafiyyah. Ibn ʿUyaynah narrated it from al-Zuhrī, from ʿAlī b. al-Ḥusayn as a mursal report (mursal), and the connected (muttaṣil) version is more authentic (aṣaḥḥ).
