al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (al-Tabarani) 21858

✧ The news of Umm Sulaim's ᴿᴬ reaction when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited and prayed in her house.

حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ حَمْدَوَيْهِ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا عَفَّانُ ثنا وُهَيْبٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَأْتِيهَا فَيَقِيلُ عِنْدَهَا فَتَبْسُطُ لَهُ نِطَعًا فَيَقِيلُ عَلَيْهِ وَكَانَ كَثِيرَ الْعَرَقِ فَكَانَتْ تَجْمَعُ عَرَقَهُ فَتَجْعَلُهُ فِي الطِّيبِ وَالْقَوَارِيرِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا هَذَا؟ قَالَتْ عَرَقُكَ نَجْعَلُهُ فِي الطِّيبِ وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي عَلَى الْخُمْرَة

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ used to come to her and take a midday nap at her place. She would spread for him a leather mat and he would nap on it. He perspired a lot, so she would collect his sweat and put it into perfume and bottles. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What is this?" She said, "Your sweat; we put it in perfume." And the Prophet ﷺ used to pray on the khumra.
