Translation

Messenger of Allah said: "Salat is this Masjid of mine is better than a thousand Salat in another, except for Masjid Al-Haram."

• قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ قُتَيْبَةُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ إِنَّمَا ذَكَرَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الأَغَرِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَأَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الأَغَرُّ اسْمُهُ سَلْمَانُ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ وَمَيْمُونَةَ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَجُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ وَأَبِي ذَرٍّ

  machine translationAbū ʿĪsā said: Qutaybah did not mention "from ʿUbaydullāh" in his hadith; he only mentioned it from Zayd b. Rabāḥ, from Abū ʿAbdillāh al-Agharr, from Abū Hurayrah. Abū ʿĪsā said: This is a good and sound (ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ) hadith. Abū ʿAbdillāh al-Agharr's name is Salmān. It has also been narrated from Abū Hurayrah through more than one route, from the Prophet ﷺ. He said: On this topic there are narrations from ʿAlī, Maymūnah, Abū Saʿīd, Jubayr b. Muṭʿim, Ibn ʿUmar, ʿAbdullāh b. al-Zubayr and Abū Dharr. Report a problem
