machine translationA strange (gharīb) hadith.
machine translationZāfir has other narrations besides what I mentioned, and it is as though his hadiths are reversed in the chain (isnād) and reversed in the text (matn). Most of what he narrates is not corroborated, and his hadith is written down despite his weakness.
in جامع الترمذي, p. 2686 - al-Tirmidhi
machine translationHe transmitted it as a supporting report (shāhid) for the hadith of Khabbāb.
in جامع الترمذي, p. 2686 - al-Tirmidhi
machine translation[In it] is Muḥammad b. Ḥumayd. al-Bukhārī said of him: "There is something questionable about him (fīhi naẓar)." Abū Zurʿah called him a liar, though Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal and Ibn Maʿīn narrated from him. Also in it is Zāfir b. Sulaymān, in whom there is weakness.
