حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْكِنْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْوَرُ بْنُ الصَّلْتِ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:
كُلُّ مَعْرُوفٍ صَدَقَةٌ، وَمَا أَنْفَقَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ وَمَالِهِ كُتِبَ لَهُ صَدَقَةٌ، وَمَا وَقَى بِهِ عِرْضَهُ فَهُوَ لَهُ صَدَقَةٌ قَالَ: وَكُلُّ نَفَقَةِ مُؤْمِنٍ فِي غَيْرِ مَعْصِيَةٍ فَعَلَى اللهِ خَلَفُهُ ضَامِنًا إِلَّا نَفَقَتَهُ فِي بُنْيَانٍ
Translation

✧ Every good deed is charity, and what a man spends on his family and his wealth is recorded for him as charity, and what he uses to protect his honor is charity for him. He said: And every expenditure of a believer in other than disobedience—upon God is its recompense, guaranteed—except his expenditure on building.
