  • al-Tirmidhi

machine translationThe narration of Abū ʿAwānah is more authentic (aṣaḥḥ), and he said regarding the narration of Abū ʿAwānah: a good and gharīb ḥadīth (ḥasan gharīb).

    in جامع الترمذي, p. 1387
  • Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī

    machine translationDisturbed (muḍṭarib).

    in جامع الترمذي, p. 1387
  • Azdī

machine translationHis ḥadīth is not sound (lam yaṣiḥḥ).

    in جامع الترمذي, p. 1387
  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationIt is narrated by ʿAbd al-Aʿlā b. ʿĀmir al-Taghlibī, and there is disagreement concerning him. Abū ʿAwānah narrated it from ʿAbd al-Aʿlā, from Bilāl b. Mirdās, from Khaythamah, from Anas. Isrāʾīl contradicted him and narrated it from ʿAbd al-Aʿlā, from Bilāl b. Abī Mūsā, from Anas, and did not mention Khaythamah. It seems that the correct view is that of Abū ʿAwānah.
