حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْجَزَّارِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ عَلَى فُرْضَةٍ مِنْ فِرَاضِ الْخَنْدَقِ، فَقَالَ: شَغَلُونَا عَنْ صَلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى حَتَّى غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ، مَلَأَ اللهُ قُبُورَهُمْ وَبُيُوتَهُمْ نَارًا، أَوْ قُبُورَهُمْ وَبُطُونَهُمْ نَارًا

Translation

✧ On the day of the Confederates, he was at one of the openings of the trench and said: "They kept us from the middle prayer until the sun set. May Allah fill their graves and their houses with fire," or "their graves and their bellies with fire."
