أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ شَغَلَنَا الْمُشْرِكُونَ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ عَنْ صَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ حَتَّى غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَذَلِكَ قَبْلَ
أَنْ يَنْزِلَ فِي الْقِتَالِ مَا نَزَلَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ {وَكَفَى اللهُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الْقِتَالَ} [الأحزاب 25] وَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِلَالًا فَأَذَّنَ لِلظُّهْرِ فَصَلَّاهَا فِي وَقْتِهَا ثُمَّ أَذَّنَ لِلْعَصْرِ فَصَلَّاهَا فِي وَقْتِهَا ثُمَّ أَذَّنَ لِلْمَغْرِبِ فَصَلَّاهَا فِي وَقْتِهَا
Translation

✧ That what happened in the fighting happened, so Allah revealed {And Allah sufficed the believers in battle} [al-Ahzab 25]. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed Bilal, who gave the adhan for Dhuhr and he prayed it at its time. Then he gave the adhan for 'Asr and he prayed it at its time. Then he gave the adhan for Maghrib and he prayed it at its time.
