✧ While I was walking with the Messenger of God ﷺ and with me was a man, and the Messenger of God ﷺ was walking between us, he came upon two graves. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'The occupants of these two graves are being punished right now in their graves. Which of you will bring me a palm branch from this palm tree?' My companion and I raced, and I beat him and broke a palm branch from the tree and brought it to the Prophet ﷺ. He split it into two halves from its top and placed one half on one grave and the other half on the other, and said: 'It will be lightened for them as long as there is any moisture in them. They are being punished for backbiting and urine.'
