حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ

أَنَّ أَبَاهُ كَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ وَهُوَ عَلَى سِجِسْتَانَ أَنْ لَا تَقْضِيَ بَيْنَ رَجُلَيْنِ وَأَنْتَ غَضْبَانُ، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: لَا يَقْضِي رَجُلٌ بَيْنَ رَجُلَيْنِ أَوْ بَيْنَ خَصْمَيْنِ وَهُوَ غَضْبَانُ

Translation

✧ His father wrote to him while he was in Sijistan: Do not judge between two men while you are angry, for I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: 'No man should judge between two men, or between two adversaries, while he is angry.'
