حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْمُسَيِّبَ بْنَ رَافِعٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ تَمِيمِ بْنِ طَرَفَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى قَوْمًا قَدْ رَفَعُوا أَيْدِيَهُمْ، فَقَالَ: قَدْ رَفَعُوا أَيْدِيَهُمْ كَأَنَّهَا أَذْنَابُ خَيْلٍ شُمْسٍ، اسْكُنُوا فِي الصَّلَاةِ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ saw people who had raised their hands, and he said: They have raised their hands as if they were the tails of restless horses. Be still in the prayer.
