حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ بْنُ يُونُسَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ تَمِيمِ بْنِ طَرَفَةَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ ؓ قَالَ

خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَدَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ فَرَأَى النَّاسَ رَافِعِي أَيْدِيهِمْ فَقَالَ «مَا لِي أَرَى النَّاسَ رَافِعِي أَيْدِيهِمْ كَأَنَّهَا أَذْنَابُ الْخَيْلِ الشُّمُسِ؟ اسْكُنُوا فِي الصَّلَاةِ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ came out and entered the mosque, and he saw the people raising their hands. He said: “What is the matter with me, seeing the people raising their hands as if they were the tails of restive horses? Be still during the prayer.”
