✧ When the Messenger of God ﷺ made peace with the polytheists of Quraysh, he wrote between them a document: "This is what Muhammad, the Messenger of God ﷺ, has made peace upon." They said: If we knew you were the Messenger of God, we would not have fought you! So he said to 'Ali: "Erase it." He refused, so the Messenger of God ﷺ erased it with his hand and wrote: This is what Muhammad b. 'Abd Allah has made peace upon. They stipulated upon him that they should stay three days and not enter Makkah with weapons except the sheathed sword.
