✧ Umar said, 'Who will tell us about the tribulation?' Hudhayfah said, 'I will.' He said, 'You?' He said, 'O Commander of the Faithful, the tribulation of a man in his family and wealth is expiated by fasting, charity, enjoining good, and forbidding evil.' He said, 'I am not asking you about that. I am asking you about the tribulation before the Hour, which surges like the waves of the sea.' He said, 'O Commander of the Faithful, between you and it is a closed door.' Umar said, 'Tell me about the door: will it be broken or opened?' He said, 'Rather, it will be broken.' Umar said, 'Then it will never be closed until the Day of Resurrection.' Abu Wa'il said: We said to Masruq, 'Ask Hudhayfah who the door is.' He asked him, and he said, 'The door is Umar.'
