حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ «§كَانَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ

يَسْمَعُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الْأَمْرَ فِيهِ الشِّدَّةُ ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُ إِلَى بَادِيَتِهِ ثُمَّ يُرَخِّصُ فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَعْدُ فَيُحْفَظُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي ذَلِكَ الْأَمْرِ الرُّخْصَةُ فَلَا يَسْمَعُهَا أَبُو ذَرٍّ فَيَأْخُذُ أَبُو ذَرٍّ بِالْأَمْرِ الْأَوَّلِ الَّذِي سَمِعَ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ»

Translation

✧ He would hear from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a matter involving hardship, then he would go out to his desert land, then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would later grant a concession in it, and the concession would be preserved from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in that matter. Abu Dharr would not hear it, so Abu Dharr would adhere to the first command that he had heard before that.”
