حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُوَقَّرِيُّ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنْ تَدَعْ وَرَثَتَكَ أَغْنِيَاءَ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ تَدَعَهُمْ عَالَةً يَتَكَفَّفُونَ النَّاسَ وَلَنْ تُنْفِقَ نَفَقَةً تَبْتَغِي بِهَا وَجْهَ اللهِ إِلَّا أُجِرْتَ بِهَا حَتَّى مَا تَجْعَلُ فِي فِي امْرَأَتِكَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “If you leave your heirs wealthy, it is better than leaving them poor, begging from people. You will not spend any expense seeking the Face of Allah except that you will be rewarded for it, even what you place in your wife’s mouth.”
