✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Makkah on the Day of the Conquest, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ permitted them mut'ah with women. So I and a cousin of mine went out. I had a worn burd, and my cousin had a new, fresh burd. I was handsome, surpassing my cousin in beauty, while my cousin was below me in beauty. We went out until when we were in the upper part of Makkah or the lower part of it, a young woman from Banu Amir b. Sa'sa'ah met us, like a young she-camel. We said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has commanded us, or permitted us, to do mut'ah with women. Would you accept one of us?' She said, 'Did he really do that?' We said, 'Yes.' She said, 'Yes.' We spread out our two burds. She began looking at the two burds, then looking at me and my cousin. When my cousin saw her looking at me, he turned her attention away, saying, 'My burd is new and fresh, while my cousin's burd is old and worn.' The girl said, 'The burd of this one is not bad.' He repeated that statement once or twice, then she chose me. Then we did not leave Makkah until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ made it forbidden.
