حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَا ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ؓ
«أَنَّ الْعُودَ الَّذِي كَانَ فِي الْمَقْصُورَةِ جُعِلَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ أَسَنَّ فَكَانَ يَتَّكِئُ عَلَيْهِ إِذَا قَامَ فَلَمَّا قُبِضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سُرِقَ فَطُلِبَ فَوُجِدَ فِي مَسْجِدِ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَكَانَتِ الْأَرَضَةُ قَدْ أَصَابَتْهُ»

✧ The wooden staff that was in the maqsura was made for the Messenger of God ﷺ when he became old, and he would lean on it when he stood. When the Messenger of God ﷺ died, it was stolen. It was searched for and found in the mosque of the Banu 'Amr b. 'Awf, and termites had damaged it.
