حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ثنا ذَيَّالُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَدِّي يَقُولُ قَالَ
أَبُوهُ حِذْيَمٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي ذُو بَنِينَ وَهَذَا أَصْغَرُ بَنِيَّ فَشَمِّتْ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ «تَعَالَ يَا غُلَامُ» فَأَخَذَ بِيَدَيَّ وَمَسَحَ رَأْسِي وَقَالَ «بَارَكَ اللهُ لَكَ فِيهِ» قَالَ فَرَأَيْتُ حَنْظَلَةَ يُؤْتَى بِالْإِنْسَانِ الْوَرِمِ فَيَمْسَحُ يَدَهُ عَلَيْهِ وَيَقُولُ بِسْمِ اللهِ فَيَذْهَبُ الْوَرَمُ
Translation

✧ His father was Hidhyam. “O Messenger of God, I have sons, and this is the youngest of my sons, so bless him.” He said, “Come here, boy.” He took me by the hands and wiped my head and said, “May God bless you in him.” He said, “I saw Hanzala: a man with a tumor would be brought to him, and he would wipe his hand over it and say, ‘In the name of God,’ and the tumor would go away.”
