حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنِي ضَمْضَمُ بْنُ زُرْعَةَ عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ أَوْفَى كَلِمَةٍ عِنْدَ اللهِ أَنْ يَقُولَ الْعَبْدُ اللهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي وَاعْتَرَفْتُ بِذَنْبِي وَلَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ أَيْ رَبِّ فَاغْفِرْ لِي

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said, “The most complete word with God is that a servant says: O God, You are my Lord and I am Your servant; I have wronged myself and I confess my sin, and none forgives sins except You. O Lord, forgive me.”
