حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ ثنا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ثنا أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَتْ عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا فَزِعًا يَقُولُ «وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَبِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ فُتِحَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ رَدْمِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مِثْلُ هَذَا وَحَلَّقَ بِأَصْبُعِهِ الْإِبْهَامِ وَالَّتِي تَلِيهَا» قَالَتْ زَيْنَبُ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنَهْلِكُ وَفِينَا الصَّالِحُونَ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ إِذَا كَثُرَ الْخَبَثُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came in to her alarmed, saying: "Woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn near. Today a gap like this has been opened in the barrier of Ya'juj and Ma'juj," and he made a circle with his thumb and the finger next to it. Zaynab said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, will we be destroyed while there are righteous people among us?" He said: "Yes, when wickedness becomes widespread."
