Tamim, and his mother is Muniyah bt. Ghazwan al-Sulamiyah, the sister of Uthbah b. Ghazwan. Asnad Yazid b. Muawiya Safwan b. Yazid, from his father.

حَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْعَطَّارُ ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ الْمِصْرِيُّ وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ قَالَا ثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى كَاتَبُ الْعُمَرِيِّ قَالَ ثَنَا رِشْدِينُ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَعْلَى

عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَعَمِّهِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ أَنَّهُمَا خَرَجَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ وَمَعَنَا صَاحِبٌ لَنَا فَقَاتَلَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ فَعَضَّهُ فَانْتَزَعَ صَاحِبُنَا يَدَهُ مِنْ فِيهِ فَطَرَحَ بَعْضَ فِيهِ فَذَهَبَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَسَأَلَهُ الْعَقْلَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَذْهَبُ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى أَخِيهِ يَعُضُّهُ عَضَّ الْفَحْلِ ثُمَّ يَأْتِي يَسْأَلُ الْعَقْلَ فَأََطَلَّهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

✧ From his father and his paternal uncle Salamah b. Umayyah: The two of them went out with the Messenger of God ﷺ on the expedition of Tabuk, and a companion of ours was with us. A man fought with him and bit him, so our companion pulled his hand out of his mouth, and a part of his mouth fell out. He went to the Messenger of God ﷺ and asked for compensation. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "Will one of you go to his brother and bite him like a stallion bites, then come asking for compensation?" And the Messenger of God ﷺ made it void.
