حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ قَالَا
ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ مِحْجَنٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ فِي بَيْتِيَ الظُّهْرَ أَوِ الْعَصْرَ ثُمَّ خَرَجْتُ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَوَجَدْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ جَالِسًا وَحَوْلَهُ نَاسٌ فَجَلَسْتُ مَعَهُمْ ثُمَّ أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَدَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَصَلَّى لِلنَّاسِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَوَجَدَنِي جَالِسًا فِي مَجْلِسِي الَّذِي عَهِدَنِي فِيهِ فَقَالَ «أَلَسْتَ رَجُلًا مُسْلِمًا؟» فَقُلْتُ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي لِمُسْلِمٌ قَالَ «فَمَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَدْخُلَ فَتُصَلِّيَ مَعَ النَّاسِ؟» قُلْتُ إِنِّي قَدْ صَلَّيْتُ فِي أَهْلِي فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا صَلَّيْتَ فِي أَهْلِكَ ثُمَّ جِئْتَ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَوَجَدْتَ النَّاسَ يُصَلُّونَ فَصَلِّ مَعَهُمْ»

✧ Al-Qaʿnabī narrated to us: Sulaymān b. Bilāl narrated to us, from Zayd b. Aslam, from Busr b. Miḥjan, from his father, who said: I prayed ẓuhr or ʿaṣr in my house, then I went out to the mosque and found the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sitting with people around him. I sat with them. Then the prayer was called, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered and prayed with the people, then came out and found me sitting in the place where he had seen me. He said: 'Are you not a Muslim man?' I said: 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah, I am indeed a Muslim.' He said: 'What prevented you from entering and praying with the people?' I said: 'I had already prayed with my family.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When you have prayed with your family and then come to the mosque and find the people praying, pray with them.'
