حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ الْبَعْلَبَكِّيُّ ثنا أَبِي ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَتَوَيْهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْبَعْلَبَكِّيُّ ثنا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ غَنْمٍ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَمِلَ بِمَا فِيهِ وَمَاتَ فِي الْجَمَاعَةِ بَعَثَهُ اللهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَعَ السَّفَرَةِ وَالْحُكَّامِ وَمَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ وَهُوَ يَنْفَلِتُ مِنْهُ وَلَا يَدَعُهُ فَلَهُ أَجْرُهُ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَمَنْ كَانَ حَرِيصًا عَلَيْهِ وَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُهُ وَلَا يَدَعُهُ بَعَثَهُ اللهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَعَ أَشْرَافِ أَهْلِهِ وَفُضِّلُوا عَلَى الْخَلَائِقِ كَمَا فُضِّلَتِ النُّسُورُ عَلَى سَائِرِ الطُّيُورِ وَكَمَا فُضِّلَتْ عَيْنٌ فِي مَرْجٍ عَلَى مَا حَوْلَهَا ثُمَّ يُنَادِي مُنَادٍ أَيْنَ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا لَا يُلْهِيهُمْ رَعِيَّةُ الْأَنْعَامِ عَنْ تِلَاوَةِ كِتَابِي؟ فَيَقُومُونَ فَيُلْبَسُ أَحَدُهُمْ تَاجَ الْكَرَامَةِ وَيُعْطَى الْفَوْزَ بِيَمِينِهِ وَالْخُلْدَ بِشِمَالِهِ فَإِنْ كَانَ أَبَوَاهُ مُسْلِمَيْنِ كُسِيَا حُلِّةً خَيْرًا مَنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا فَيَقُولَانِ أَنَّى هَذِهِ لَنَا؟ فَيُقَالُ بِمَا كَانَ وَلَدُكُمَا يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ

✧ From the Messenger of God ﷺ: he said, "Whoever recites the Qur'an and acts according to what is in it and dies in the community, God will raise him on the Day of Resurrection with the noble scribes and the judges. Whoever recites the Qur'an while it slips away from him and he does not abandon it, he will have his reward twice. Whoever is eager for it, cannot do it, and does not abandon it, God will raise him on the Day of Resurrection with the nobles of his people, and they will be given superiority over all creatures as eagles are given superiority over other birds, and as a spring in a meadow is preferred over what surrounds it. Then a caller will call out, 'Where are those whom tending livestock did not distract from reciting My Book?' They will stand, and each of them will be clothed with the crown of honor and given victory in his right hand and eternity in his left. If his parents were Muslims, they will be clothed with a garment better than the world and what is in it, and they will say, 'How is this for us?' It will be said, 'Because of what your child used to recite of the Qur'an.'"
