✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ admonished us after the morning prayer with a profound exhortation that made the eyes weep and the hearts tremble. A man from among his Companions said, “O Messenger of God, this is the admonition of one bidding farewell.” He said: “I enjoin upon you fear of God, listening and obedience, even if it is an Abyssinian slave. Whoever of you lives will see much disagreement, so beware of newly invented matters, for they are innovation. Whoever of you reaches that, let him hold fast to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided, divinely guided caliphs; bite onto it with the molar teeth.”
