حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ ثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ أَنَّ عَدِيَّ بْنَ حَاتِمٍ حَدَّثَهُمْ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَأْتِي عَلَيْكُمْ إلَّا قَلِيلٌ حَتَّى تَسِيرَ الظَّعِينَةُ فِيمَا بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَالْحِيرَةِ لَا يَأْخُذُ أَحَدٌ بِخِطَامِهَا وَلَا يَأْتِي عَلَى أَحَدِكُمْ إلَّا قَلِيلٌ حَتَّى يَمْشِيَ الرَّجُلُ بِمِلْءِ كَفِّهِ ذَهَبًا فَلَا يَجِدُ مَنْ يَقْبَلُهُ وَمَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا سَيُعْرَضُ عَلَى اللهِ ﷻ لَيْسَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَهُ تَرْجُمَانٌ فَمَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ أَنْ يَتَّقِيَ النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ فَلْيَفْعَلْ»
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'There will not come upon you but a short time until a woman travels in a litter between Makkah and al-Ḥīrah, and no one takes hold of her halter. And there will not come upon one of you but a short time until a man walks with a handful of gold and does not find anyone to accept it. And there is none of you but will be presented to Allah ﷻ with no interpreter between him and Him. So whoever is able to shield himself from the Fire, even with half a date, let him do so.'
